چکیده:

Static pile loading tests are usually undertaken in the United Arab Emirates to assess the bearing capacity of piles. The piles are often bored in slightly silty sands overlying soft rocky horizons like sandstone, calcarenite or mudstone. After a brief reviw of the end bearing capacity analysis methods, the paper presents a smaal sized database of 18 pile loading tests carried out in 9 sites in the coastal side of the U.A.E, and the methodology of interpretation in order to analyse the end bearing capacity.
