چکیده:

The aim of this work consists of synthesis of nanocrystalline single-phase CoAl2O4 powders from comparatively less expensive raw materials and a simple method. Nanosized ceramic pigments of cobalt aluminate were obtained from a mixture of cobalt nitrate, aluminum nitrate and citric acid (or sucrose) as a chelating agent. Single-phase nanocrystalline CoAl2O4 was prepared by thermal decomposition of the polymeric precursor and the calcining temperature was about 800C .Structure and properties of CoAl2O4 nanoparticles and also the effects of the chelating agents, were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) methods.
